Ways to Give
Volunteer Program
Volunteers are the heart and soul of Phoenix Art Museum. Their contribution of time provides vital support by:
• greeting and assisting visitors from around the world
• selling Museum memberships
• providing support during special exhibitions and at various Museum events
• helping children and families during special family programs or school tours
• assisting in the Museum offices.
*No previous experience is required and training is provided.

Current opportunities
Special Exhibitions
During these special exhibitions, volunteers help with a variety of duties, including being in the galleries, assisting visitors, organizing school groups, answering questions, giving directions and taking tickets.
Shifts available: Morning, afternoon and evening shifts available Tuesdays through Sundays
Film at the Museum
Welcome attendees and distribute information regarding future films and other Museum programs.
Shifts available: Sundays, 1:15 to 4:15pm
Under 21
Assist with activities developed for teenagers.
Shifts available: Wednesdays, 6 - 8pm, once a month
PhxArtKids Days
Assist staff and visitors with art-making activities and related performances.
Shifts available: Saturdays, or Sundays, 11:30am - 2:30pm, once or twice a month
Sketching in the Galleries
Welcome visitors to sketch in the galleries and provide materials or assistance. Previous drawing experience or knowledge is not required.
Shifts available: Saturdays, 10am - 12 Noon, once a month
Administrative and Art Research Library Offices
Assist with light clerical duties such as answering phones, mailings, data entry, filing, etc.
Shifts available: Three to four hours, any day Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 5pm.
