Spend the day viewing the Museum's outstanding permanent collection of over 18,000 works of American, Asian, European, Latin American, Western American, modern and contemporary art, and Fashion Design. Also on permanent display are the Thorne Miniature Rooms, works by Philip C. Curtis, and some of the world's finest photography.

We also host a variety of exhibitions from around the globe all year.

Adult Tours

Your group can choose between a private docent-led or self-guided tour.

Adult Docent-Led Tour

Due to docent availability we require at least 5 weeks prior notice to desired date of visit for docent-led tours. The tours are approximately one hour in length and cost per person is included with Museum general admission. The following is a list of tour topics:

  • Museum Masterworks Tour in the North Wing (European, American, Western American, Asian, Ullman Center for the Art of Philip C. Curtis)
  • Museum Masterworks Tour in the South Wing (Modern, Contemporary, Fashion Design)
  • Featured Exhibition Tour (Choose one of our featured exhibitions on view at the time of your visit.)

Adult Self-Guided Tour

Discounted tickets are available for self-guided groups of 10 or more with at least 2 weeks advance reservations. Walk-up groups pay the full general admission price.


We Come To You

Museum-trained docents offer one-hour image-based presentations at your site. Five weeks advance notice is required. Topics include art history by era, exploring a style (e.g. Impressionism, Surrealism), the work of specific artists, or themes of interest to your group.
