Mr. Beene Goes to the Circus!
February 20, Noon - 3pm
Geoffrey Beene loved circuses' energy and surprises. Inspired by Trapeze, arrange his signature geometric forms to invent ideas for new garments, and put them together to make a Museum circus!
Joining the fun is James Reid, juggler extraordinaire. Reid has been delighting audiences since he was just eight years old. Only six months after learning how to juggle in Tempe, he began his performing career. Now 28 years later, he has traveled throughout Arizona and the U.S. performing and teaching juggling, yo-yo, diabolo (Chinese yo-yo) and more. He has performed for thousands at festivals like Tempe Festival of the Arts and Glendale Glitters, and wowed audiences at Gammage Auditorium, Chandler Center for the Arts, The University Theatre at Yale and so many more. He currently resides in Phoenix and performs throughout the country. Current favorites in his show include juggling while eating an apple and spinning a hula hoop, bowling-ball juggling and the sports spectacular. Click here for more information. |
