Members Make It!

Calling young artists (ages 5-12) and their caregivers! Join us for a new hands-on experience exclusively for Museum Members*. Each month explore a different art object in the Museum and art-making process.    The July Members Make It! inspiration is Untitled (Crown), 1983, Mixed Media Collage by Jean-Michel Basquiat. Mono-printing, expressive mark-making and paint sticks, oh my!  Draw inspiration from Jean-Michel Basquiat’s Untitled (Crown) as you experiment with layering various collage processes to create your own mixed media work of art.   Studio seating is limited and registration is required. Family Summer Celebration

Mark your calendar for a cool, family-friendly evening at the Museum. Chill out to the sounds of DJ Katescratch Fever while taking part in several hands-on art making activities. Check out the interactive dance performance by CONDER/dance Company (performance at 5pm.) Head over to The Great Hall which will be transformed into a drive-in theater to watch Pixar’s Cars (beginning at 4:30pm.) Relax in the baby & toddler area where little ones can unwind with fun age-appropriate toys from the Museum Store. We will also have a special scavenger hunt with prizes for all!
