Come join Docent, Christy Sensharma, for an exploration of Pair of six-panel folding screens with landscape in relation to Japanese architecture, the influence from Chinese landscape painting, Samurai culture during the Edo Period, and the connection to 17th century Europe. Every Wednesday | 3–9 pm | All year long In an effort to reduce economic barriers to the arts, Phoenix Art Museum has offered complimentary general admission one evening every week for more than 20 years. As the Museum's first and longest-running community-access program providing free general admission and programming for all ages and interests, the Museum's Wednesday complimentary-admission program, now known as Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesday, has welcomed nearly 1 million people to the Museum over the past two decades. Teen Night Fall 2018

Free and open to all high school students. 6–9:30 pm This is a teen-only event.  Parents are encouraged to drop off teens at the Museum’s main entrance, and pick up no later than 9:30 pm.    Shoot for the stars and explore Phoenix Art Museum after hours in this interstellar themed event based on Teotihuacan: City of Water, City of Fire, featuring an original performance co-created with Rising Youth Theatre.    Make sun, moon, and star-inspired wearable art with Antoinette Cauley, build a Teotihuacan landscape with Create Makerspace at Arizona Science Center, and create a collage with Jenny Day, exploring place and identity.
