Calling young artists (ages 5-12) and their caregivers! Every month, join us for a free hands-on art-making experience exclusively for Family- through Fellow-level Members inspired by current exhibitions or artworks on view.  Program Details: May 26 | Art and text collide!   Practice reading a work of art as you gather inspiration from Valeska Soares: Any Moment Now. Make It!: Positive and Negative Papercuts

Rediscover Carlos Amorales’ Black Cloud! Gather inspiration from the installation’s 25,000 black paper moths and butterflies of 30 different species. Experiment with positive and negative space alongside Phoenix-based artist Dani Godreau as you create your own artwork using a variety of paper cutting methods including the Japanese Notan technique. About the Teaching Artist Dani Godreau is a Phoenix-based artist who explores women’s traditional crafts and domestic duties through paper cutting. Teen Art Council is a paid arts leadership opportunity for high school students who: collaborate to build a safe space where teens can connect to art, inspire each other, and contribute to a creative community act as ambassadors for Phoenix Art Museum and represent their peers within the Museum meet artists, museum staff, and other creative people explore art and museum careers Each program year, 15 students from all over the Valley represent the perspective of their peers.
