Eric Fischl Lecture Series: Carroll Dunham

Artist Eric Fischl attended Phoenix College in his youth and returns every year to present the Fischl Vanguard Award to the College’s outstanding art students. He brings with him a guest of international stature to jury the Annual Student Art Competition at Phoenix College and deliver the Eric Fischl Lecture Series at Phoenix Art Museum.

This year's special guest is artist Carroll Dunham. Dunham’s work has been the subject of numerous solo exhibitions at international institutions including Museum Ludwig, Cologne; Millesgården, Stockholm; Drammens Museum, Drammen, Norway; and a mid-career retrospective held at the New Museum of Contemporary Art, New York. Dunham has also been included in notable group exhibitions including multiple Whitney Biennials and SITE Santa Fe; and at institutions including Musée d’art moderne et contemporain, Geneva; the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Museu Picasso, Barcelona; The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston.


The Eric Fischl Lecture is presented by Phoenix College.
