PetSmart Light the Night First Friday at Phoenix Art Museum

Every First Friday, Phoenix Art Museum offers free general admission and discounted special exhibition admission* from 6pm-10pm. On December 2, we invite you to celebrate this holiday season with the PetSmart Light the Night First Friday.

In an effort to make dark times a little brighter for all people, and to further our commitment to being a gathering place for community engagement, Phoenix Art Museum is partnering with local organizations in our community to Light the Night. In addition to illuminating (literally) performances by, December’s PetSmart Light the Night First Friday officially kicks off MAP @ PAM, our Military Access Program providing free admission to past and present members of the military and their families, made possible through a generous gift of $50,000 by PetSmart. We'll be giving away Museum Membership to the first fifty (50) MAP@PAM families and all members of the military, past and present, will receive 10% discount with ID at Palette on First Friday. Also in attendance to help welcome the MAP@PAM program will be Arizona Humane Society Project Active Duty, Companions for Independence Wounded Veterans Initiative, and Dogs On Deployment

We will also be collecting items of need for the “Just 3 Things” program benefiting teens transitioning out of the foster-care system to independence.  Hunger and food are often pressing daily issues for these young adults as they seek to find jobs, earn their GED, make a home for themselves and take positive steps toward independent life. Each visitor that donates 3 non-perishable items listed below will receive free admission to one of our specially-ticked exhibitions that evening: Kehinde Wiley: A New Republic or Emphatics: Avant-Garde Fashion 1963-2013 (limit one ticket per person). For more information on this important program, see this article by Paradise Valley Lifestyle. Come light the night with us!
