First Friday at PhxArt: Teotihuacan

From 6–10 pm on the first Friday of each month, Phoenix Art Museum is open to the public with voluntary donation admission. Share your First Friday experience: @phxart #phxartff

This First Friday, be one of the first to see the historic Teotihuacan: City of Water, City of Fire exhibition (tickets required), and enjoy art and programming inspired by the exhibition, including a special installation by Phoenix-based artists the Fortoul Brothers in Chase Lobby, and in partnership with The Sagrado Gallerialife drawing with El Whyner and a durational performance Verbo Transitivo : Transitive Verb by Diana Calderon.

Starting at 6 pm, the evening will also feature a water blessing in honor of Teotihuacan by Curandera Patricia Federico, a traditional Aztec ceremony by Grupo Coatlicue, a contemporary dance performance by Jenny GerenaSana Sana and Ni De Aqui, Ni De Alla food trucks, music by DJ Smite and DJ aw.dre, a lowrider car show organized by The Arizona Super Show, and more.

 Artworks are not to be touched unless stated otherwise.
 Food and drink (including water bottles) are not allowed in the Museum.
‣ Backpacks (large and small) are discouraged as they can damage the art. Shoulder bags are allowed.

Getting Here by the Light Rail
The Museum is conveniently located by the Central and McDowell Valley Metro Lightrail station. The closest station to the Museum is Number 10, McDowell & Central. Click here to download the metro light rail brochure, containing a full map, fare details and operating hours.
A limited amount of parking is available at the Museum. Paid parking is available north of the Museum at Central United Methodist Church from 5 pm-10 pm on First Friday. The charge is $10 and can be paid using cash or credit card. Click here for an online map. 
Free overflow parking is available across the street from the Museum at Central Arts plaza, on the 3rd and 4th floors of the parking garage on the southwest corner of Central Avenue and Palm Lane.
Phoenix Art Museum is one of five Artlink Phoenix First Friday Trolley hubs. Enjoy the Museum then take the trolley tour and explore all the downtown Phoenix arts and culture destinations.
