CANCELLED – Geometry and Gesture: Observations on Abstract Art from the Americas
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS
Scholar Edward Sullivan explores diverse aspects of abstract art in Latin America, which had its beginnings in the first quarter of the 20th century and extended into the 1960s and 1970s. Dr. Sullivan will question the idea of a "Latin American" form of abstract art, and shed light on the multitude of approaches to the abstract form that emerged in the region.
