Make It!

Make It! is a hands-on art-making space for all ages and abilities. Join Phoenix-based artists and museum staff to be inspired by works of art from the Museum’s collection or current exhibitions. 

Each month features a different object and art-making technique, and a chance to explore new materials, perspectives, and ways of connecting with art.

Wednesday session is open to the public during Pay-What-You-Wish Wednesdays; Saturday session is free for Members and included in General Admission.

Join Phoenix-based artist Diana Calderon for printmaking inspired by the special installation ¡Viva la Revolución! José Guadalupe Posada and the Taller de Gráfica Popular. Learn about the process of making a relief print and see Posada’s images featuring calaveras (skeletons) popular in celebrations of the Mexican tradition of Dia de Los Muertos.

Dorrance Sculpture Garden
Create your own clay vessel with the guidance of Phoenix-based artist Gloria Casillas. Explore the new exhibition Teotihuacan: City of Water, City of Fire to find inspiration for your original work of art.
