Make It!: Triad Compositions
Join Phoenix-based artist Hannah Irene Walsh to create your own three-part, mixed media composition. Gather inspiration from 16th-century triptychs featured in Selections from the Schorr Collection. Consider theme, symbolism and visual harmony as you design your own triptych to take home.
Teaching Artist Bio
Hannah Irene Walsh is a multimedia artist and lifelong Phoenix resident. She graduated with her Master of Fine Arts from Arizona State University in 2017, and currently teaches studio art classes at GateWay Community College. Her work explores the juxtaposition of different-yet-connected esoteric subjects –especially in sets of three— which have often manifested as triptychs and other multi-part compositions.
About Make It!
Make It! is a monthly drop-in, family-friendly, hands on art-making activity for all. Each month features a different activity inspired by objects in the Museum’s collection or current exhibitions and collaborations with different local artists to create activities that introduce participants to new materials, perspectives and ways of connecting.
Make It! is free and part of #PhxArtFamily and #FreeAfterThree Wednesdays (each Wednesday, general admission is free from 3 - 9 pm).
