September First Friday activities:

PERFORMANCE: BREACH
Created by Nicole L Olson, Mark Hughes, and Francisco Flores
Great Hall
7pm and 8pm

Nicole L Olson's (NicoleOlson|MovementChaos) premiere piece, BREACH, in collaboration with artists Mark Hughes and Francisco Flores, is about the temporary gap in life's continuity.  In three sections, relationships are created and torn apart throughout and new ones are created, also showing that although these breaks in our world occur, there are remnants that still tie us together.
Hughes and Flores will create a dynamic visual portal in which the dance artists break the bonds of reality, revealing the multiple dimensions of time and space.  At the heart of the piece will be a projection feedback loop in which multiple versions of the dancers appear.  These projections will display the dancers' previous movements as they trail back into infinity.  The Great Hall will also contain brilliant lighting elements that will bring an added depth and beauty to the interaction.

Between and after performances, the audience will be able to participate in the creation of the scene, presenting an opportunity for each visitor to see themselves on the walls of the Phoenix Art Museum and experience this unique installation.
