Summer Studio: Teens Draw
Free event for teens ages 13-18
6 – 8 pm
Develop your observational drawing skills this summer through this series of in-gallery drawing sessions led by Phoenix-based artists. Drawing inspiration from art throughout the museum, we’ll explore mark-making, composition, and taking sketches off the page.
Materials provided, but you're welcome to bring your own sketchbook. All skill levels welcome, no previous drawing experience is necessary.
Bring your recurring thoughts and watch your handwriting morph into abstract shapes when you turn writing into art with Christopher Jagmin during this session of Teens Draw. Jagmin’s work is on view in the 2017 Contemporary Forum Artists’ Grants Recipients exhibition.
Teen programs are made possible through the generosity of Thunderbirds Charities, the Craig R. and Barbara M. Barrett Foundation, APS, the Alice and Jim Bazlen and Jane A. Lehman Foundation, and John and Erin Gogolak. The Diversifying Art Museum Leadership Initiative is supported by the Walton Family Foundation and the Ford Foundation.
