A teen-curated monthly program, #Untitled is a little different each time. In celebration of National Poetry Month and the exhibition Valeska Soares: Any Moment Now, this one is all about words:

Write a poem with Camila Sanmiguel, 17-year-old National Student Poet from Laredo, Texas, who believes a writer’s most valuable resources are insight into one’s own personal experiences and the ability to empathize with others. She opens the Poetry Reading featuring Ada Limón on April 6.

Explore (text)iles with Shannon Ludington, whose interactive textile thesis, To See the Words Unspoken, is currently on view at Project Space.

Do you have a favorite love song or poem? Add it to a collaborative sculpture on the indescribable nature of love with Dolores Lopez, a fiber arts student at ASU, who was inspired by Valeska Soares’ process of altering found text.

Open mic is at 2:15 pm. Those attending Camila Sanmiguel’s writing workshop will have first priority to sign up for an open mic slot.

Teen programs are made possible through the generosity of Thunderbirds Charities, the Craig R. and Barbara M. Barrett Foundation, APS, the Alice and Jim Bazlen and Jane A. Lehman Foundation, and John and Erin Gogolak. The Diversifying Art Museum Leadership Initiative is supported by the Walton Family Foundation and the Ford Foundation.
