PhotoBid 2016 Gala and Silent Auction
Join fellow art lovers and collectors for the eighth annual PhotoBid fundraiser benefiting the INFOCUS organization. Whether you are a seasoned collector or just starting out, PhotoBid is a fun and festive event where you can mingle with people who share a passion for photography – and bring home an original work of art!
Guests at PhotoBid can participate in both live and silent auctions, and will enjoy a raffle, door prizes, music, hors d’oeuvres and a well-stocked bar. The live auction, conducted again this year by popular New York City auctioneer Rick Wester, will feature more than 30 signed, limited edition photographic prints by acclaimed photographers from Arizona and the United States. And, for the first time this year, the silent auction component, curated by well-known Phoenix-based photographer David Emitt Adams, will comprise work by promising and accomplished students in photography at Arizona universities, offering a chance to purchase outstanding work from artists who do not yet have an established market. As in the past, the silent auction will also include a selection of photography books by well-known authors and artists. Buy tickets here.

Preview the art in person at Phoenix Art Museum October 26 – November 16
In the three weeks preceding PhotoBid, the auction pieces will be shown as an exhibition in the Norton Gallery at Phoenix Art Museum for bidders and the public to view. The photographic works presented in the PhotoBid exhibition and auction are selected by internationally recognized curator, Rebecca Senf, Ph.D., the Norton Family Curator of Photography at Phoenix Art Museum and Chief Curator at the Center for Creative Photography in Tucson. The auction and raffle items have been generously donated by a variety of artists working in a diverse range of processes and subject matter. Photography enthusiasts will find something for every taste and budget!
