Circles of Support and Corporate Council Members are invited to this unique discussion with photographer Stephen Strom and Professor Peter Smith, principal investigator and project leader of the Phoenix Mars Lander mission. Photographer Stephen Strom spent most of his professional life as an astronomer searching out patterns encoded in the light from distant stars in the hope of understanding how our sun and solar system came to be. His photography reflects a 30-year devotion to unique interpretations of landscape. Professor Peter Smith, principal investigator and project leader of the Phoenix Mars Lander mission, whose credits include the amazing Imager camera – the device used to capture the iconic first images of the surface of Mars.
